How it works Students become self-aware of their learning style, strengths, and interests so that they begin to apply that awareness when exploring potential career pathways. Those careers will help them understand how their education is integrated into their goals. The focus is on three primary components to help students connect efficiently from school to careers.
1) Maximizing the high school years 2) College searches and application support 3) Career interests/pathways and self-assessments |
About Me |
My name is Tim Manor and I am an independent counselor that helps students by coaching and teaching students the relevancy and impact of education to their future career endeavors. I believe in encouraging an academic schedule that promotes balance and well being for each student. My experiences in working with youth have been extensive over the past 20 years. I have worked over 10 years as a counselor and 9 of those years I have worked in a competitive, comprehensive high school in Santa Cruz County. I have spent 5 years as the Department Lead and I have intricate knowledge of the high school system and a deep understanding of what is necessary for students and families to prepare themselves for college. I have worked with thousands of diverse students of varying backgrounds and goals and have helped them take advantage of the opportunities during high school. My students learn to identify and tackle the transitions from the teenage years to young adulthood informed and ready to achieve their goals.
